In a quiet Kreuzberg courtyard, the new seven-story building in the BON VIVANT project nestles elegantly against the front building. The side wing is home to six one- to two-room apartments starting on the second floor. Thus, each apartment extends over a complete floor, which guarantees the necessary privacy. The project is crowned by a penthouse, which offers a breathtaking view over the capital and connects the old and new buildings. In the courtyard, a unique Tiny Forest is being created – a small, newly planted grove. It acts as a temperature regulator, CO2 sink and noise buffer. The ecological profile of the project is supported by the wood hybrid construction of the entire building and the modular, resource-saving wood construction of the daylight bathrooms. Heating is provided by renewable energy from the air-source heat pump system. Overall, this results in an energy efficiency class of A+.
