SCHLOSS UHLAND embodies neo-baroque elegance in the heart of Berlin-Charlottenburg. The five-storey residential and commercial building at Uhlandstraße 171/172 was built in 1899/1900 to designs by the renowned architect Engelbert Seibertz and still impresses today with its richly ornamented stucco façade, harmonious proportions and architectural extravagance. The courtyard façades feature red brick stripes and ornaments, while the striking vestibule, with its marble cladding and gilded stucco, reflects the building's stately character. In 1989 the listed building was thoroughly modernised and extended with a contemporary loft conversion. The ensemble of front building, rear building and landscaped courtyard garden comprises 34 residential and commercial units with living space ranging from approx. 86 to 332 m².
